<h2> Indonesia: ERIS experts undertake EU Election Expert Mission to Aceh</h2>
<h3>May 2012</h3>
<div id="newstext"> <p>Experts nominated by ERIS have recently been deployed on an European Commission project under Lot 7, which deals with the fields of culture, governance and home affairs.</p>
<p>The project is an Election Expert Mission for the provincial and local election in Aceh, Indonesia with the objective to support democracy and to contribute to transparency in the country.</p>
<p><br/>The experts will be responsible for assessing the conduct of the elections and analysing the legal/ electoral framework governing the elections in accordance with international and regional standards for democratic elections. <br/></p></div>
