<h2> MINISTERS PRESENT DEMOCRACY POLICY AT ERIS EVENT</h2>

<div id="newstext"> British Government support for democracy worldwide was the subject of speeches by two Ministers at a meeting organised by ERIS on Monday 13 December.<br/> <br/>Foreign and Commonwealth Office Minister of State Jeremy Browne MP and the Department for International Development Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State Stephen O'Brien MP chose as their theme 'Is democracy more than elections?' and used the occasion to launch the new FCO and DFID guidelines on electoral assistance.<br/> <br/>The event, which was chaired by ERIS Chair Keith Best, took place at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
