<p><a href="#"></a>Google has just updated their social network, <a href="../../blog/category/google">Google </a>+, and they have heavily integrated YouTube into plus.</p>
<p>They have added, what they like to call a slider, which is a small <a href="../../blog/category/youtube">YouTube</a> icon that sticks to the top right of the page, once you click on the icon it “slides” out and asks what you would like to play. You can type in a word and it will bring you up a playlist of relevant videos and you can listen or watch videos whilst networking on Google Plus.</p>
<p>One problem I would point out is that it pops out in another window and obviously if your using Google + then the YouTube window disappears behind the window. So you have to resize all of the windows and it just gets complicated and downright annoying.</p>

<p>I think what Google have done isn’t necessarily a bad thing  but there is no doubt that there is room for improvement.</p>

<p>If you have not created a Youtube account, I strongly advise you to think carefully about your profile name, as you cannot change this after sign up. To those of you who already have an account you have to decide for yourself if re uploading all of your videos and starting from scratch is worth having a better name, or maybe you have chosen wisely and your name is as good as it can be for your business or just yourself as an individual.</p>
<p>The basic information is something that is commonly missed out, many reasons can explain as to why it is simply left, but the point of focus here is that it is important and it will help you. Fill out as many as the fields as you can, but make sure the information is relevant, so for some profiles, listing your favourite films may not be relevant at all. A very important field to fill out is the about me section, make sure you have your targeted keywords in this piece of text, although it needs to make sense and actually describe yourself or your company.</p>
<p>Adding a profile picture is essential, having a picture of yourself gives it a slight personal touch, but understandably, if your channel is for a company then all you can do is add your logo, but at least you are allowing your viewers to know a little more about you.</p>
