"Went along to check out the Little Villeins been hearing a lot about them on the internet and saw they were playing on Monday 17th September.<br>

Why a Monday? This band of kids were excellent.... all original songs with a great beat what a shame more people were not their to share the experience.<br>

One track (can't remember its name) is one of the best songs I have heard this year.<br>

Little Villeins must be Londons best kept secret,<br>
I suspect we will be hearing a lot more about them in the future.<br>

"Great little venue, full of people having drinks before going to see Marillion at the Forum next door. <br>
<br>
Saw two bands, Cherry Black Stone and King Furnace. Former were good, very polished, latter were amazing: funny but great music and energy. Sound was very clear which helped I think. <br>
<br>
Shame the place was half empty as everyone seemed to be watching Marillion instead. Maybe they should do a deal with the Forum to give gig-goers next door cheap entry or something."

An old classic. Everyones been here at some point in their teenage years. And if you havent you should check it out. A lot, and I mean a Lot of artists began life in this odd venue where is a small pub with a small hall attatched to the back with a stage and sound system which serves to house small bands for night of audio entertainment of all genres, infamous for battle-of-the-bands events and a good place to start any music career. The actual pub out front is pretty old-hat with old timers sitting in the corners claiming to have been sitting in the same spot for centuries. The alcohol is not too expensive either.<br>
<br>
Overall 6/10 because paying �3 to get into a pub has its limits:<br><br>

"Was at the Bull and Gate on 28th, great venue, sound technician really knew her stuff too. Had the chance to check out Skimpy Delta, these guys have great energy, technically brilliant and the crowd loved it. Especially they're great to dance to, blues shuffle numbers.<br>

"I went along to the venue having heard that Skimpy Delta were good fun, I was more than impressed. they are superb loads of energy and the lead singer is fantastic vocally and very funny on stage.<br>
