<p><strong>Gabriela (Harrow)</strong></p>
<p>I was brought up bi-lingual by my French mother and have worked using French in business prior to my turning to teaching as a career. In May 1997 I set up classes teaching French to children using communicative methods with games, songs and role-play. I found it challenging and rewarding teaching the children, and was particularly impressed with the speed of their learning.</p>
<p><strong>Victoria (Ealing)</strong></p>
<p>I have been teaching French as a foreign language since I moved to Ealing 1990’s. After being asked by a young man, who was moving to France, I had about 4 months to help him learn some functional language which would help him integrate and mix in with French people. Since then, I have taught various levels and ages. I am currently teaching a range of students and abilities, including a group of 6. My students vary in age (16 – 82!) and abilities (beginner to Advanced). </p>
<p><strong>Karena (Slough)</strong></p>
<p>I have been teaching languages (French, Spanish, Portuguese and English second language) for 16 years both in state schools and in private language schools/ institutes. I have experience in teaching both children and adults in the traditional method and with the use of the multi-method.<br />
<br />
I arrived in the UK, Westminster almost five years ago and have since then obtained my QTS and successfully got my threshold last year. I was awarded a distinction for Practical Teaching and was chosen as the Best Service Manager at the annual Wall Street Institute Convention in 1999, the international languages institute where I was teaching.<br />
<br />
Having been a teacher, as well as a Service Manager for 4 years, I have very good organisational and management skills. I am very much a people’s person and have a love for teaching languages. I am reliable, responsible and professional in any task that I undertake.</p>
<p><strong>Pierre (Staines)</strong><br />
I have been teaching French to adult on a part-time basis for four years. My teaching activities ran concurrently with my other activities in web design, IT and DTP. In my quality as a bilingual speaker my language skills were often called upon for assignments requiring the knowledge of French and familiarity with one or more, other latin languages. My subsequent TFLA training has now allowed me to teach languages more effortlessly and with better pedagogic skills and teaching methodology. </p>
