the drive of The Ramones, imagine the harmonious melodies of The
Strokes, imagine the raw vocals of the Sex Pistols ... You have just
imagined The Get Up. The punk rock 4some from Newcastle fuse the
characteristics of the greats to make a unique, fresh sound of their
own which is guaranteed to entertain. In their early 20's, The Get
Up have already been successful in their home town gathering an
ample fan base, which is slowly but surely spreading to other Cities
in the Uk. Thanks to their well updated website, www.myspace.com/thegetupmusic,
the band has wooed music lovers from all over the country. The plans
for the band seem endless, but their main aim is to gig as much as
possible in the next year and to please local bosses in particular
to make a name for themselves in their home town. A debut album is
also on the cards for the Geordie lads as their plethora of original
tunes is continuing to improve and should be ready for the summer.
Look out for these guys, and you won’t be disappointed.</font>
