Stomping out of the heart of Essex, Kilkus, formed
in mid-1998, have built up an exceptional reputation amongst gig

part of the expanding pool of talent in the London and South East
England Metal Scene.

couple of years ago). Ill logic are responsible for some of the
the most bowel-worryingly bass-driven beatdown rap metal ever witnessed.

of each band member brings something different from each of them,

soul diva Jean Carne is playing at the Jazz Caf. The early to mid-'70's
saw the emergence of a different type of female vocalist into the
world of soul and R&B;, women like Phyllis Hyman, Angela Bofill,

have broken through to mainstream audiences at the time, their influence

Awarded an OBE for his outstanding contribution to British music,
Courtney Pine is no stuffy peer of the realm. His success lies in
his appropriation of the disparate elements of British urban music

Fiction at the Cross is one of those rare clubs
that lets the music do the talking, relying as they do on their
excellent resident DJ's instead of jetting in so-called big name
stars.

This approach has allowed the resident DJs to build
up a great rapport with the regular crowd and to create a unique
atmosphere. If you feel like being surrounded by a laid back crowd
with quality music in one of London's top venues, then Fiction is
the Friday night club for you.

said that nightclubs might be allowed to test ecstasy pills for
purity. She also called for the decriminalisation of ecstasy.

Such tests are already carried out in Amsterdam
in a bid to protect clubbers from 'bad' ecstasy. Ms Roberts was

Replying to a question about enforcing drugs legislation
the Council leader says: "The targeting of intervention should be
on heroin and crack cocaine. We've got numbers of clubs where ecstasy
is taken and used. It doesn't cause mass community disorder, certainly
not."

Camden has a number of well-known London clubs within
its borders like the Electric Ballroom, The Cross and Bagleys and
already demands that clubs should provide ample and free supplies
of fresh water. Dangerous dehydration is one of the common side-effects
of ecstasy.

Speaking on the same programme, Home Office Minister
Bob Ainsworth said that the government would not relax the laws
