the 1960's, the house of Cacharel was the first to introduce the idea
of Ready-to-Wear. Now, after decades of being associated with perfumes
such as Anaïs Anaïs rather than high fashion, it has reinvented
itself by bringing on Clements Ribeiro and Annick Gorman. For the first
time in twenty years, the name Cacharel is appearing on the catwalks.
<br>
Their W/A collection was all about "teenage girls borrowing their
mother's clothes"; belts, pearls and necklaces printed on the garments
was a highly wearable look, ribbons could replace corsages as next season's
quirky accessory and the chic Cacharel logo printed here and there over
some outfits was both well-designed and desirable. But the highlight of
the show was the red corduroy jacket with matching trousers - not cords
à la GAP but more of a masculine suit.</font> </div>

and cool, this is a desirable item for autumn, and it would look great
paired with another of the coming season's favourites: the rollneck.
Dries Van Noten went for the full flowery 1970's look - even the gabardine
trousers were striding down the catwalk, followed by, you guessed it,
tailored cords - with warm orange, mustard and creamy beige as key colours.
The high Nehru collar made a comeback and the patterned skirts, 'related'
to this summer's trendy 1950's taffeta numbers, were A-line shaped.
Husband and wife design duo Clements Ribeiro (Suzanne Clements and Inacio
Ribeiro) had drawn inspiration from David Bowie in the 1970's - a decade
lending its colours and fabrics to Autumn/Winter 2001</font><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">

present, the feel was relaxed and sexy rather than macho. </font><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="1">
