New CSS engineering chairman
Matthew Lugg, Director of Highways, Transportation and Waste Management at Leicestershire County Council and Chair of the UK Roads Board, has taken on the Chair of the CSS Engineering Committee.
Matthew takes over from Chris Tunstall, Deputy Chief Executive at Durham County Council. Chris has relinquished the role as a result of pressure from other commitments. Chris is currently the local authority representative on HAUC.
As a result of Matthew taking over the new role, he will be handing over Chair of the Joint CSS/TAG Highway Management Group to Devon County Council Head of Highway Management, Lester Willmington. Lester already has a national role in chairing the Scanner Implementation group of the UK Roads Board.
