ADEPT welcomes membership applications from local authority Directors or Chief Officers and those with strategic service responsibilities for planning, transportation, environment, waste management and economic development throughout the UK. Following a career in County Councils I am now a Corporate Director of a Unitary Council responsible for a wide range of former County and District services. I am sure that Unitary governance is the way forward for all 2 tier areas, and the Society should strive to be the Society of choice for Unitary Directors.
