CSS Wales is the professional association
of Directors / Heads of Service of technical services in
Wales. Membership comes from each of the 22 Welsh unitary
authorities.
The aims of CSS Wales are the representation of member
interests, the promotion of initiatives aimed at the development
and dissemination of best practice and to influence government
policy towards these same ends. It is also the Welsh branch
of both the County Surveyors’ Society (CSS) and the
Technical Advisers Group (TAG).
Benchmarking clubs have been established that cover a
wide range of services in Wales. A robust performance information
framework has been developed in collaboration with District
Audit to include a range of local performance indicators
and a measurement proforma for each indicator. Performance
data is collected each year, analysed and then reported
on by District Audit.
